"LOBARIUM" Project at Kumarakom, Kottayam
Rev. Fr. Manipadam visits Bay Area, CA

Fr. John Manipadam, the Iron Man and guide of the LOBA is currently visiting the Bay Area, CA. If you wish to get in touch with him please call him at 1-510-845-3493. he will be here for another 3 months at Berkeley and has been meeting several OBA members in CA.

A grand concept was finalized at the recent LOBA Regional Meet at Kottayam this February. The meet was attended by around 50 LOBA members and their families. The LOBARIUM concept (as it was dubbed) is a cluster of cottages on the banks of the breath-taking Vembanad lake, "of the LOBA, by the LOBA,for the LOBA". The regional meet saw the idea passed with thunderous applause and on the spot commitment of over Rs. 2,00,000 (,000). The target is Rs. 50,00,000 (,000) which will give all LOBA members (and family members) lifetime access to this resort! The cost for membership will be a mere (Rs. 5000) per head. LOBA has over 1000 registered members to date. More of this will be updated on the LOBAGLOBAL site in the near future.

Prof. Manipadam in China- Jan 2005

Fr. Manipdam known as Prof. Manipadam in China has moved there in an effort to teach english to local students. He says that job is very rewarding and he gets free lunches from some students who own restaurants. In his email to the LOBA group, he says that "teaching girls in China is a warm refresher after all those years in Loyola!"

Ciby and Anu, proud parents of Matthew (Loyola 2015), and Sumit and Tripti proud parents of Reuben (Loyola 2016) baptised their sons at Trivandrum, away from the crowds in New York City. Sriram P was in Trivandrum too for his daughter's naming ceremony. This looks like a good tradition. B2B- Back to Basics,

The Stork delivered again. In the footsteps of trendsetter Sudhish K, Abdul Vaheed is the proud father of twin boys. The kids and Mom are doing fine. You can send your wishes to ABDUL VAHEED at: vaheed@emirates.net.ae
